Our Mission
To empower carers to show their care experience in a meaningful way to employers so as to help them overcome barriers to finding work.
Everyone deserves recognition for their skills.
Employers expect job applicants to have extensive work and volunteering experience, but, for many carers, they are not in a position that allows for that.
We understand that volunteering requires privilege - it requires time, the financial security to donate that time and the ability to make a ‘loss’ in commuting costs or public transport fares.
For many carers, volunteering outside the home is incredibly challenging, if not impossible. Besides - they volunteer for those for whom they care.
But this creates a divide; volunteers can show their experiences on their resumes, but a carer previously could not. This is despite the extraordinary and valuable skills that carers have learnt through their care.
Not only that, but often carers rely on government support and forego work opportunities.
This is where Accredicare Ltd intervenes - we provide individuals with care experience with an accreditation that employers can have confidence in. Not only that, but carers are able to show their care experiences on a resume or LinkedIn profile, using our organisation name and award titles so that it appears like any other volunteering initiative.
We work to bridge this divide - we work to help you into work and get you the recognition you deserve.
